What to expect this October…

We can’t believe it’s October already, where has 2017 gone? We thought we’d better give you a quick round up of events going on in Leeds throughout October; from theatre and music events, new openings, festivals, to news from your favourite restaurants and bars and major events going on in the heart of the city…..

The reopening of Leeds Art Gallery

Finally the wait is over and Leeds Art Gallery will be reopening on the 13th October.  It has been temporarily closed due to essential works being carried out to repair the original roof of the Victorian building. There are many exhibitions planned in aid of the reopening, including work by Joseph Beuys, Martine Syms and Alison Wilding RA. A significant programme will also be presented highlighting a unique collection of the key successes the gallery has showcased over the last 130 years. (Picture: Time Out Leeds)


First Direct Arena

As always, there are many acts taking place throughout the year at the First Direct Arena, including Little Mix, one of the world’s most favourite girl bands, are bringing their Glory Days Tour to the Leeds First Direct Arena on the 14th October. Shout Out To My Ex, Power and Black Magic (to name a few) will be performed by the band, giving you a night full of entertainment, fun and live music. The Cocktail Experience

Aspire are bringing back The Cocktail Experience towards the end of October (20th), giving you the chance to taste your favourite cocktails from your favourite bars, all under one roof! After a successful launch last year, OktoberFest will be returning to Leeds for two weekends in October. Light Night Leeds

And not to forget, Light Night. The night where the whole city lights up, the creative talent amongst our city emerges and the people of Leeds come together to celebrate arts and light through dance, music and street performances.
