Yorkshire Residential Property Awards 2017

On Thursday 12th October, Morgans were delighted to accept the Best Estate Agency award at this year’s Yorkshire Residential Property Awards, held in the prestigious Bowcliffe Hall in Bramham.

The awards are a celebration of Yorkshire’s residential property industry and were hosted by Welsh TV presenter Gethin Jones, formerly of Blue Peter, who went down a storm. The event also doubles as a fundraiser for children’s charity Variety, and this year it raised a staggering £97,000.

The Best Estate Agency category recognises “the residential agency that has demonstrated an outstanding sales and/or lettings record supported by unrivalled service and market reach.” The panel of 9 judges were specifically looking for “proven market knowledge, innovation and customer service”, with specific successes highlighted and said of Morgans;

Morgans has been at the forefront of City Living in Leeds for over 20 years yet still manages to be relevant. The judges felt their approach based on face-to-face not database gave Morgans the edge over the other entries in this category as it gives their customers that back to basics sense of appreciation.

Jonathan was awarded the life-time achievement award at last years’ event and the best agency award this year is the icing on the cake.

Jonathan said; ‘‘it was a massive honour for me to pick up the award last year but this was about the entire team and Nigel and I were absolutely delighted to accept the award on behalf of everyone at Morgans. We pride ourselves on our approach and our work-ethic and we look forward with excitement to the next 20 years!!’’.

Variety children’s charity raises money for disabled, disadvantaged and deserving children in Yorkshire, with the money raised from the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards funding this amazing cause. Our Managing Director, Jonathan introduced the Big Build appeal with a short video clip of Springwater School in Harrogate, which encouraged everyone to dig deep.

It was a fabulous evening for Morgans, for Variety and a true celebration of the residential property industry in the region. Congratulations to all those shortlisted and to all the winners.
